World Championships 2002 in Nagano, Japan - Zuzana Babiakova (Slovakia)

Zuzana Babiakova is the 6-time Slovakian National Champion. Until this year she's always been struggling to make it into the long program at Worlds, her best result was 21st place in 1998. This year she skated one (of only 5) clean short programs, which left her in an excellent 11th place after the short program and with a great chance to reach her best Worlds result. She wasn't completely flawless in the long program, but skated a solid and expressive performance that was enough to keep a very good 13th place. Her long was an interestingly choreographed program to music from the "Bandita" soundtrack.
